DAMAGED APPLIANCE CLAIMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The processing of your Damaged Appliance Claim is governed by your acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions.  By submitting the Damaged Appliance Claims Report you agree to be bound by the following terms.

In the event of full and final settlement after investigations have been completed and a determination on the claim has been made,

  •  All claim payments will be applied directly to your T&TEC electricity account (electricity bill), i.e. the electricity account at the location where the damages occurred.
  •  For claim payments above $1,000 AND the relevant T&TEC account is not in arrears, you have the option for payment via wire transfer or to your T&TEC electricity account (electricity bill).
  •  If you choose payment via wire transfer, you will be responsible for the bank charges (If you bank with Republic Bank – $20.00. All other banks – $65.00) and this will be deducted from the settlement amount.
  •  T&TEC is forever released and discharged by you, from any and all action, causes of action, claims and demands for any damage, loss and expense or injury to person and property which has been or may hereafter be sustained in consequence of, or in any way related to, or arising out of the subject incident.
  •  The terms and conditions of the settlement are fully understood, the amount to be paid is the sole consideration of this Authorization, Release and Discharge, and the said sum is accepted voluntarily.
  •  It is understood and agreed that the settlement is not deemed to be an admission of liability on the part of T&TEC.
